Study Circles Against Racism (SCAR)
The primary goal of SCAR is to promote social justice and equality for all human beings.
SCAR will provide students, faculty and the general public a curriculum-guided group that confronts the issue of racism in our society.
This environment allows its participants to discuss issues of privilege and race in a safe, yet challenging environment.
The idea is to foster self-awareness and self-growth within the person and to be aware of how our self-perceptions and biases affect our relationships with other people.
