Information Literacy

In this course, students will acquire the information literacy skills needed to successfully complete academic and clinical tasks that require the review of published scientific literature. Through in-class demonstrations, hands-on assignments, and other methods, students will become familiar with a variety of print and electronic information resources: develop efficient search strategies; and learn how to critically evaluate information resources, avoid plagiarism, observe copyright guidelines and cite sources using APA style. This course seeks to promote the development of life-long learning skills.
