The purpose of this course is to provide an analysis of behavior that violates social norms and establish an understanding of the relevant clinical implication of working with various deviant groups. Various views used to study deviance, including behavioral, psychodynamic, biological, and social perspectives of violence, will be examined. Additionally, there is a focus on deviant identities, including children who kill, serial murders, mass murderers, women who kill, sexual deviance, and family violence.
