Dr. Kristina Brown Wins Struggle for Reciprocity
Dr.
Kristina Brown has opened the doors for more marriage and family therapists in
the state of
Missouri. Dr. Brown has been working with the state of
Missouri to create reciprocity for LMFT mental health professionals from the state of
New York. Over the course of the last nine months, Dr. Brown has lobbied the state licensure authorities to create a process wherein professionals from the state of
New York are granted authority to practice in the state of
Missouri.
New York established a new licensing process in 2006 which created the need for
Missouri to reevaluate the NY program. Through Dr. Brown’s efforts, all future applicants who are licensed in
New York can apply for licensure credentials by the state of
Missouri.
