APA convention accepts student's poster submission
Babak Partovifar's poster presentation entitled "Nasir al-Din al-Tusi's 13th Century Theory of Evolution" has been accepted by division 26 of APA, The Society for the History of Psychology. The convention meets in San Diego, CA in August of 2010. Partovifar is quoted as saying, "I was interested in exploring my culture's contribution to psychological theory so I decided to research Middle Eastern psychology. I stumbled upon al-Tusi and discovered his 13th century contribution to evolutionary thought. In his writings, al-Tusi describes the origins of all living things, mutations, and how humans evolved from apes. I decided to start a research project describing his contributions since many scholars seem to be unaware of al-Tusi."
