Dr. Tara Downie, Forest faculty, attended the International Play Therapy Conference in Atlanta, Ga., on October 8 - October 10, 2009.  She had the pleasure of listening to presenters such as Garry Landreth from UNT on client-centered play therapy, Kevin O’Conner from Alliant International University on Ecosystemic Play Therapy, Terry Kottman from Cedar Falls, Iowa, on Adlerian Play Therapy and Lois Carey from Upper Gradview, NY, on Sandtray Therapy.  “It is incredible to be able to hear the theory from these presenters as they are either first generation or second generation theorists,” Downie said.
