Citing Software for APA Style

Cite While You Write (CWYW)
Cite While You Write is an EndNote Web Plug-in which can be used for insertion of references and the automatic formatting of citations and bibliographies while writing papers in Word. CWYW is meant to be used with references from a library created in EndNote Web. To install CWYW, login to your EndNote Web account. Then click on the link for Download Installers. Review documents for system requirements and installation instructions. Then download either the Windows or Mac version. Tutorials for this plug-in are available.

APA Style Citation Generators
Note: Citation generators may be useful for quick, one-off citations but would be inefficient for a large list of citations. Any citation generated would have to be double-checked to make sure that the generator did not make an error (so they are NOT foolproof).

KnightCite
Created and maintained by the Hekman Library at Calvin College. Upon site registration, you can save your citations and bibliographies to your account.

NoodleBib Express
Provided by NoodleTools Inc., this free tool can be used for creating a few citations on your own. Requires copying and pasting the citation created into your document (otherwise not saved).
