Course Reserves
Information for Students
Springfield campus
Course reserves can include copies of required textbooks, recommended books, course readings (in folders or notebooks) or videos. Some materials needed from term to term are on Permanent Reserve.
The Library has been assisting instructors when necessary with the scanning of articles which instructors then post to their Scholar 360 course page. Please check with your instructor to determine if materials on Reserve are available on Scholar 360 or are available in hard copy only on Library Reserve.
If the course reserve item needed is a required textbook, recommended book, video or hard copy/printed materials, please request them at the Library Front Desk. The materials can be borrowed for a maximum of 2 hours for library use only. Reserve materials can be checked out for overnight loan no more than one hour prior to library close and are due back when the library opens the next day. For weekdays, this means reserve materials can be returned by 8:00am the mornings of Monday through Friday. If materials are not returned promptly, library staff may restrict overnight borrowing privileges for reserve materials for that patron in the future.
You will need a Forest ID to check out any course reserve materials.
If more than one student requests a single copy of a reserve item, the Library staff member will start a waiting list.
