Murney Clinic Continues Growth in Community Outreach

The Robert J. Murney Clinic continues to make partnering with
agencies with similar or complimentary mission of increasing access and serving
the underserved.
Through partnerships in grants and program service delivery,
the clinic continues to create opportunities to provide services at the
outpatient facility on S. Campbell and at multiple outreach sites found within
underserved communities.
Through the years the sustained focus and effort has
resulted in a significant increase in a diversity of services to a more diverse
population.
Recently the Murney Clinic finalized several area partnerships that have resulted in increased access to mental health services for underserved populations and provide supervised service learning experiences for the gradate providers at the Murney Clinic and its outreach sites.
A few of the growing number of partnerships include:
- Educational
institutions such as Ozark Technical Community College, College of the Ozarks,
Cox School of Nursing, Wheaton school district
- Civic
and advocacy agencies such as Gay and Lesbian Organization of the Ozarks
- Community
& Social Service Agencies- Boys and Girls Club, Rare Breed Youth Homeless
shelter, Missouri Hotel, Multicultural Center, Alternative Opportunities,
Shapes mentoring Program,
- Corrections
Justice agencies – Greene County Jail, Greene County Evening Reporting Center
and Youth Academy, Drug Court circuit 31 & 39, Mers Goodwill, probation and
parole
