MedFT Pumpkin Carving Contest

Students in the Medical Family Therapy group took to the picnic tables Friday night with carving tools in hand.

The goal was creating the best MedFT themed pumpkin.  That required some creativity and a steady hand, but better yet, getting a little messy.

"Everyone was very creative and came up with some surprisingly MedFT-themed pumpkins that I had never thought of," said the group's President Kelly Valdivia.

At the end of the contest, Amy Newton's design won first place, and she received a 20 dollar gas card.

The event also raised a few extra bucks for the upcoming Project Linus event.

"It was a perfect fall evening activity, and a very fun social event," said Valdivia.
