Forest graduate presents workshop

Forest graduate, Daniel J Neller, PsyD, ABPP, presented a workshop this weekend in Charleston, SC, on Violence Risk Assessment for the American Academy of Forensic Psychology. I am attaching the blurb from their website.

Violence Risk Assessment
Sunday, February 2 (8:30 A.M. – 4:30 P.M.)

Daniel J. Neller, Psy.D., ABPP
This workshop provides an in-depth review of the literature relevant to risk assessment, risk management, and risk communication. Discussed in detail are various approaches to risk assessment; the strengths, limitations, and optimal cutting scores of commonly used risk assessment instruments (e.g., VRAG, HCR-20, Static-99); and the areas of controversy within the risk assessment literature.

Dr. Neller, a board certified forensic psychologist (ABPP), has conducted a range of forensic assessments in both the private and public sectors, and he has coordinated a program designed to reduce recidivism among federal inmates. He also has taught undergraduates, psychiatry residents, and law students. He presently is employed by a private consulting firm.
