2014 Mental Health in Corrections Conference

The 2014 Mental Health in Corrections Conference Presented by The School of Professional Psychology at Forest Institute and Burrell Behavioral Health is scheduled for April 10-12, 2014 in Springfield, Missouri. The theme is "Upsetting the Status Quo: New Perspectives on Corrections, Reentry & Recidivism" The conference also has a brand new website with all of the latest information. Check it out at

Alumnus Named Physician of the Year

Dr. Sheree Estes was named Physician of the Year by the Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital in Worcester, MA, where she has been employeed as a neuropsychologist since 1999. Dr. Estes also became the team neuropsychologist for the Stars professional hockey team.
Spreading the Primary Care Behavioral Health Model

Dr. Brian Sandoval recently took on a major role integrating the primary care behavioral health model within one of the largest federally funded community health networks in the country. Sandoval a 2010 graduate says his passion for the model led to the opportunity, and he speaks with us about why primary care behavioral health is finally catching on.
Forest Alumnus Recognized By New ABPP Certification
Dr. Ray Turner (1993) with the Memphis Police Department is now Board Certified as a Police and Public Safety Psychologist after the American Board of Professional Psychology moved to officially recognize the specialized group.
Forest Alumnus Elected to National Academies of Practice
Dr. Andrew Berry (2007) joins the organization which acts as an advisor to healthcare policy makers in Washington.
Forest - St. Louis Partners with Special School District
The partnership will train employees working within the Special School District of St. Louis County to become Board Certified Behavior Analysts through its master's and certificate programs.

On Saturday, October 8, Forest graduated 73 into its 30th alumni cohort consisting of doctoral and master's students.
