The Alumni Association Steering Committee is interested in hearing from any alumni interested in joining the Committee and volunteering to aid the organization in addressing the major goals of the association.
These goals include:

• Increased communication and networking with Forest Alumni
• Increased participation of graduates in current activities at Forest, and
• Providing Alumni access, information, and support to current Forest students
  

In keeping with these goals, the Association has been focused on compiling an accurate Alumni mailing list and creating this Alumni link on the Forest website. In the near future, we plan to include an Alumni newsletter on this website to keep members informed of the activities of the Committee and to keep you apprised of upcoming
Alumni events.

Other activities in which the Alumni Association has been involved are:

• Donation and dedication of the Dr. Betty Ervin-Cox Children and Family Garden located at the Forest Student Housing Complex
• Alumni Reunion and Organizational Meeting at Hickory Hills Country Club
• Participated in the presentation of an honorary doctorate to the late Larry J. Bass, PhD.
• Arranged an alumni interview period with members of the North Central Association on Accreditation of Colleges and Universities during their most recent site visit
• Provided assistance in tabulating the votes for the most recent Student Council elections
• Provided speakers for Psi Chi and Student Council Organizational activities
  

As President of the Alumni Association, I would like to personally extend an invitation to all Forest graduates to attend Association meetings and become involved in the shaping of the new Alumni Association during this exciting and important time in the history of Forest Institute.
