Daniel Meadows
Name: Daniel Meadows
Hometown: Bolivar, MO
Classification (Year): Second Year
Area(s) of Interest:
Corrections, emergency and crisis, biofeedback, pain management. I love leading small groups and teaching
classes.
What you as a prospective student should know about Forest :
Forest has options for specialization which make it stand out amongst psychology programs. Marriage and
family really shines right now, strengthened by significant grant money and the capable leadership of Dr. Baker
and her team. I have really enjoyed experience in corrections with Dr. Powers, pain management with Dr. Wood,
and biofeedback with Dr. Walters.
Something people would be surprised to learn about me:
I lived in the middle east as a child. I've sky dived tandem, bungee jumped in Pensacola , and bicycled 1,100 miles
with a friend.
Favorite spot off-campus:
Hands down, my house in Bolivar with my spouse of 13 years and 4 daughters.
Favorite Forest “experience”:
I enjoy the less formal interactions with students and faculty. As a busy person, it is important to remember that
life is now. I do not want to wish my days away, wanting for something better. Life doesn't somehow start in the future if I'm not engaged in the present.
Favorite Book:
I suppose the Bible. I like history and enjoy understanding how different cultures approach the world.
