Admission Philosophy

During the admission process, particular emphasis is placed on the academic record, professional recommendations and professional accomplishments. Also considered are achievements, publications, awards and graduate test performance scores. We also examine the special strengths, individual talents and personal attributes of the candidate. Commitments to community service and volunteer activities that demonstrate an appreciation for diversity or contribute to the enrichment of the community are highly valued during the admission process. Personal maturity, interpersonal communication skills and self-motivation are also examined during the individual interview. By examining test scores, previous academic performance, recommendations and conducting personal interviews, we hope to gain a well-rounded perspective of incoming students for admission consideration. Through this holistic process, we hope students provide an in-depth portfolio for admission consideration.
