Loan Repayment & Forgiveness Programs

Your loan provider will send you information about your repayment terms and the date your repayment begins during your 6-month grace period. (Your 6-month grace period will begin after you graduate, have your degree conferred, leave school or drop below half-time enrollment.)

Your monthly payment will depend on the size of your debt, the length of your repayment period, and the repayment period you choose.

Please see the following sites for more information on loan repayment:

If you are having difficulty making your loan payments…
Please remember there are many options available if you are having problems making payments on your loans. Please contact your financial aid office or your loan holder to explore options to help you, including consolidation, deferment, forbearance, available repayment plans and rehabilitation.

LOAN FORGIVENESS (REPAYMENT OPTIONS)
Many organizations offer loan forgiveness if you are willing to enter into a service contract. These programs usually have different guidelines and requirements and can be very costly if you break your contract, so please be very careful to understand the contract before you sign. Also, please be advised! Some loan forgiveness programs will only reimburse certain types of loans, so you will not want to consolidate before you look into the loan forgiveness programs! Please see the following sites for more information:
