Amount of Award: Up to $2,000 per assistantship

Eligibility:

Advanced standing, defined as students who, by the end of the Summer 2013 semester, have had two consecutive terms at full-time enrollment; i.e., 9+ credit hours per semester, since matriculating to Forest.

Criteria for Selection:

1)Commitment to and interest in supporting the future of Diversity in Practicum and Internship training.

2)Evaluation of diversity competency.

3)Interview with a member of the Diversity Committee

4)Financial need.

 

Materials Required for Consideration:

1) Completed FEETS Application Form;

2) Vitae ;

3) 600+ word written statement expressing the applicant’s commitment and interest in supporting the future of DIPI training at Forest.

4) Two recommendations from faculty who are knowledgeable of the student’s competency in the domain of Diversity.

5) Documented financial eligibility for federal student aid; i.e., submission of FAFSA.

 

Expected Outcomes:

Recipients of the DIPI Assistantship will be required to document hours that they contribute to the project and submit weekly timesheets to the work study office. Timesheets must be signed by the faculty/administrative sponsor assigned to supervise fellows throughout the year. Assistantship recipients are expected to contribute at least 4 hours to the project weekly and will present a final report on their project to the Forest community at the Fall School Convocation in 2013. A written document describing their activities will be presented at that time.
