Professional accreditation of the Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.)
degree at Forest Institute of Professional Psychology is
granted by the American Psychological Association (APA).

Forest Institute is approved by the American Psychological
Association to offer continuing education for psychologists
and maintains responsibility for the program.
APPIC
Murney Clinic is a member of the Association
of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship centers (APPIC)
for its internship training program. The Institute is also
a Charter Member of the National Council of Schools and
Programs of Professional Psychology, and is listed as a
Designated Program in Psychology by the Council for the
National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT)
Forest’s Post-Graduate Marriage and Family Therapy
Certificate program has been accepted into candidacy status
with the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family
Therapy Education (COAMFTE) as of December 4, 2000. Graduates
of this program will be considered to have graduated from
an accredited program.
American Academy of Pain Management
Forest Institute has been certified and approved by the American
Academy of Pain Management to offer the AAPM curriculum.
Missouri State University
Forest Institute has entered into an affiliation agreement
with Missouri State University, a regional university,
with numerous advanced degrees in health and human services.
Cooperative collaboration strengthens library resources,
in-service faculty development and training, student body
diversity, and potential for joint faculty appointments.
