Office of the President

Dear Prospective Student,

For three decades, our bold vision has been to enrich the lives of students and the communities we serve through advancing the practice of mental health care. We seek to accomplish this by fostering diverse experiences in academics, clinical training, student organizations and service learning through community involvement.

Whether you are looking to pursue your master’s or doctoral degree, or are hoping to expand your professional skills through earning a post-graduate certificate, I’m confident you will find Forest is a top competitor in the field of professional psychology training and an excellent place for you to receive hands-on, supervised, real-world training on your road toward earning a practitioner’s degree and license.

Perhaps the best example of our commitment to service can be seen in the services our PsyD students provide at our Springfield location, as they treat clients at the Robert J. Murney Clinic, the second-largest community clinic of its kind in the nation.

Each PsyD student at the Springfield campus has the opportunity to participate -- under the direct guidance/supervision of licensed faculty -- in more than 800 therapy sessions each month with clients at RJM Clinic. Because we serve the community at large, the experiences afforded our students are as rich and diverse as the clients we serve. We believe this creates the ideal learning environment for our students to become excellent practioners.

I invite you to browse through our website for more information on the valuable experiences and training we provide to our students. I would then like to invite you to visit either our Springfield or St. Louis location, tour our facilities, the community, and see firsthand what Forest has to offer! Please contact our Office of Admissions at 1-800-424-7793 or by clicking on this link.

I look forward to seeing you on campus!

Sincerely,

Mark Skrade, PsyD
President
