Main Campus:

Our main campus is located in the heart of the Ozarks in Springfield, Missouri.

The area serves home to several lakes and recreation areas, shopping, entertainment, sporting events, and much more.

Students also love the relatively low cost of living in Springfield, and the small town feel with big city conveniences.

Forest Institute was founded in 1979 at the Robert J. Murney Clinic by practicing psychologists who understood the best way to learn is to practice. Our curriculum focuses heavily on that methodology, giving students a unique opportunity to work in clinical settings and close with their professors who are all working psychologists.

In fact the student to teacher ratio is only 1:8 and we have a retention rate of 96% of our total student enrollment.

The Springfield campus offers several degree programs including a dual-track PsyD program in Clinical Psychology. We also have masters level programs in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and a post-graduate degree certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy.

Outside of our major programs there are several elective concentrations that cover a wide variety of psychological subjects. Those include Forensic Psychology, Primary Care Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychology, and Neuropsychology.

There are also two certificate courses is Applied Behavior Analysis in our curriculum, for those who work with children and want to further their understanding of important issues like autism. Through these programs you can become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst®.
