Antoni Hanigan - Fellowship Recipient
In my third year at Forest, I was honored to be chosen as one of the Diversity in Practicum and Internship Fellows. During my first two years at Forest, I received the Community Service Scholarship, which was given to me based on my dedication to provide support to underserved populations. I feel that community service and diversity go hand in hand, and I am glad that I am able to expand my experiences into this area.
Being a generalist, I have a range of interests that I am able to pursue at Forest through classes and student groups. I enjoy participating in FACE (Forest Alliance for Cross-Cultural Experiences), SCAR (Study Circles Against Racism) and GLEE (Gays, Lesbians, and Everyone Else), because I believe that learning about diversity and immersing yourself into cultures that may be different than your own are important steps on the lifelong journey to becoming a culturally responsive and adaptive clinician.
